About Situla

Karen and Estee founded the first Situla school in 2013 after realising the need for earlier intervention and the huge impact it has on the trajectory of young futures. Soon after the dream came true – a dream to create a supportive, loving, safe place for children with Autism and their families to come, to feel understood and welcomed.  A place where the children receive the support and understanding. Since then, Situla has branched out into 4 different locations and have been trusted by families and professionals working in the field of Autism.

The name Situla is the name of a star and is derived from an ancient Greek word meaning bucket or pail which is often beautifully decorated. For us at Situla, this is symbolic of each child’s journey and how we have the opportunity to pour love, belief and confidence into the child’s bucket every day to unlock their unique potential.  We strive to create an environment that includes learners from culturally diverse languages and backgrounds, creating a space where all children feel they belong and can help write their own journey and be part of the Situla story.

We are so proud that our beautiful Situla family keeps growing – proving that the sky really is the limit!
