Moving to Situla was the best decision ever. Your foundation in building her confidence and bringing out the best in her, had led to this moment. My child was named the Junior Head Prefect for 2020 in her new school.

Situla is diep in my hart. Ek praat met die grootste lof en prys. Julle het baie bygedra tot my kind. My kind het gestraal in Situla en jy weet dit net wanneer jy weens omstandighede by ‘n ander skool aanklop. Julle het sulke wonderlike werk gedoen. Julle is seker die grootste ‘blessing’ wat met my kind kon gebeur het. Die swaarkry wat my kind nou ondervind laat my net weer waardeer wat ons in Situla gehad het. Meer as ooit besef ek julle waarde en liefde. Baie dankie vir die goue jare wat my kind by julle was, julle is regtig ‘n stukkie diamant.

Our son loves his centre! Situla has been very kind, compassionate and patient with my son. No matter the challenges we have faced over the years, they have never given up trying. We are so blessed to have found such an amazing tutor centre for our son. While many schools claim to be “Autism friendly”, Situla really is! It makes the world of difference when you work with people who understand Autism and know that not every child learns the same and that every child is unique and different in their learning. They are always willing to chat, learn, adapt and are available to discuss concerns and come up with ways to make things better for our boy.

Thank you Situla! We cannot put into words how thankful we are to have our son in a safe and loving environment.

Finding Situla was a blessing for me and my sweet child after a very difficult struggle and not having any faith or hope, Situla came to my rescue. My daughter was diagnosed with Apraxia of speech – something I didn’t even know existed and little did I know that the problem she had was not only speech but it also involves her physical development. When she started with Situla at the age of 4 she had no speech and had other problems but within two months it felt like my daughter was reborn again. With the dedicated teachers, Speech Therapy, OT and other therapies that were giving her there was so much improvement, little did I know that was just a beginner of a new journey and experience. Being with the school for almost 3 and half years changed our life in way that I couldn’t possibly have imagined. My sweet girl now can speak so clearly.

My son was diagnosed with autism right before his 3rd birthday. I can remember how my husband was holding my hand while I was trying my best to compose myself and hold my tears back. In seconds we felt lost and had a list of questions we weren’t sure we would be able to answer. We came across Situla and we felt the massive question mark lift of our shoulders. The amount of growth we have seen in our son is absolutely outstanding. All the staff and teachers go out of their way to create an environment where kids are accepted and learn without feeling different. Situla provides a support system, not only for us as parents but for our children. The community and communication between therapist, teachers and us as parents is wonderful, clear and open. Achievements get celebrated no matter how small or big. Situla goes out of their way to ensure that each child is treated like an individual and it is very clear the amount of love that Situla has and gives our children every day.

Die fantastiese onderwyseresse daar is toegespits om leerbehoeftes by kinders te identifiseer, uit te wys en hul dus dan te rehabiliteer deur arbeidsterapie, spraakterapie, spelterapie en kinderkinetika terapiesessies weekliks aan te bied in hul dagprogram. Hulle het absoluut ‘n passie vir kinders wat individuele leerbehoeftes het.”

“At the beginning the school worked with therapists on a detailed assessment of milestones and put together a list of all the activities he needed to start working on. They immediately started working with him and the results have been amazing. Within a week at the school he began to imitate language, take instructions and has been making progress with his vocabulary and expressing himself.  On large motor skills, he has done extremely well. He immediately started to gain lost ground and can now play and jump like any other three year old.  Emotionally he is developing very well and can even play with his brother at home, something that was near impossible in the past. On fine motor skills: he can now draw a circle, cut with a scissor, put his shoes on, and many others he was not able to do. All these were accomplished in just a few months after starting at Situla.”
